THUR
A Swiss river that gave its name to the canton of Thurgau. Even the Romans built bridges over it, later it was heavily straightened for fear of flooding and lost its wildness in large parts. In recent years, it has gradually regained a more natural appearance through renaturation measures. The photographer follows its course, roaming through floodplain forests, over gravel banks and the landscapes that its waters have shaped over thousands of years. Again and again, views of unimagined wild beauty, poetry and silence reveal themselves.
